LEGO Spider-Verse (71050)

Spider-Verse (set number 71050) is a twelve-figure collectible minifigure series built on the film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Instead of one wall-crawler you get a cross-section of alternate versions: Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Punk, Pavitr Prabhakar from India, and a few characters most people will only recognise from the animation. Prowler rounds the box out without a trace of spider powers.

This is a licensed series, so it plays by different rules from the classic numbered CMF waves. There are no assorted jobs or animals this time: all twelve belong to a single theme, and it is only together that they add up to a set. Plenty of people therefore go after the full line-up, since it is the simplest way to get the whole Spider Society onto one shelf — along with costume variants LEGO has not released in the regular Marvel sets.

For children the hunt usually comes down to one specific figure, most often Miles or Spider-Gwen.
