LEGO Series 29 (71052)

Series 29 (set 71052) is a classic unlicensed wave of LEGO Collectible Minifigures from 2026: twelve characters with no shared theme and an unusually wide spread of ideas. A mechanical tyrannosaurus stands next to a marine biologist, a cosplayer dressed as a Bionicle hero and a minifigure who will not put down their bubble tea. That mixture is the house style of the numbered series — a job, a monster, an athlete, a slice of fantasy and a nod to LEGO's own back catalogue, all in one wave.

Grown-up collectors usually go looking first for the Bionicle Cosplayer, an open tribute to the line LEGO launched in 2001, and for the Mysterious Ronin, because samurai-flavoured characters have always worked beautifully alongside Ninjago sets and fantasy dioramas. In houses with children the shortlist looks nothing like that: there it's Robot T. rex, Trash Monster and Unicorn Elf that win, the figures you can pick out of the line-up photo from the other side of the room.
