About this minifigure
The comics version arrived in 2014, during the Spider-Verse crossover, as the representative of a world run by Norman Osborn's dictatorship. He treats the spider job as an extension of punk philosophy: no authorities, no rules handed down from above. In the second film he is the one who openly challenges the system Miguel O'Hara has built.
Instead of a smooth bodysuit he wears a denim waistcoat loaded with patches and studs, heavy boots, and a mohawk pushing up through the mask. The animation draws him as a moving collage, so he behaves differently from everything else in the frame — and that same sense of chaos survives the trip into brick form.
He suits anyone who has had enough of red-and-blue. Nothing else here shares his outline, so you will pick him out from the far end of a shelf, even facing away. The guitar does a lot of the work, since his first association is a gig rather than a chase.
Did you know: In the comics, Hobie Brown is the name of the original Prowler — a character who appears in this same series as a separate figure, in the Aaron Davis version.
