About this minifigure
It needs no film, no game and no backstory to work, because the two things small children are reliably obsessed with have already been welded together in it.
It works absolutely anywhere. One afternoon it is the thing menacing a City street, the next it is an ally in a Ninjago battle, and most days it is simply the loudest resident of the brick box. When a child jabs a finger at one particular character in the Series 29 line-up photo, this is usually the one.
Collectors have their own reason to chase it. Large, odd-shaped silhouettes turn up rarely in the numbered series, and this one ties together two threads LEGO has been pulling at for years: mechs and prehistoric beasts.
