About this minifigure
The koala needs no elaborate prop or backstory to hold your attention, because the silhouette alone does it. The costume reads instantly, even when the figure is standing in the second row of a collection, half hidden behind the louder disguises from the same set.
The accessories are nicely judged: a branch and a boomerang place the Koala squarely in an Australian context. Reviewers do note, though, that light prints over darker elements come out less crisply here than elsewhere in the series, so the figure looks a touch sharper in press photos than it does on the shelf.
If your child has picked out the Koala specifically, checking the code before you buy genuinely pays off. Finding one particular figure blind is a one-in-twelve lottery, and across further boxes the odds improve more slowly than you would expect — while the duplicates pile up faster.
