About this minifigure
The rabbit suit holds a special status in the Collectible Minifigures line: Bunny Suit Guy from Series 7 is still named as the most iconic LEGO disguise of all, largely thanks to his utterly unmoved expression. The new version goes the other way — named Cute Bunny, it plays everything for sweetness.
For a parent it is the safest pick in the series. Nothing here could upset a child, and a rabbit is recognisable to any preschooler, so nobody has to explain who the figure is meant to be or where it came from.
Collectors usually stand the two versions of the costume side by side. Old bunny and new bunny show neatly how LEGO's approach to printing, detail and specialised moulds has shifted over a decade and a half — though on this figure the light patterns over darker parts come out slightly less sharply.
Did you know: A rabbit's teeth grow throughout its life, which is why they have to be worn down constantly by gnawing hard food.
