About this minifigure
In Shrek the Third he turns up as Arthur's old teacher, retired from the trade after his magic began letting him down. When he does try to help, it comes out backwards: it is his spell that swaps Donkey and Puss in Boots between bodies.
Children know him far less well than Shrek or Donkey, but a wizard needs no introduction. Beard, robes and magic work in play regardless of which film the character walked out of, and this figure slips easily into castle and fantasy scenes from well outside the Shrek world.
For collectors the value is double: a character from the third film, which LEGO almost never draws on, and a general-purpose mage who suits any medieval build. He is one of those figures that goes straight from the box to the castle rather than into a display case, and nobody asks where he came from.
