About this minifigure
He turns up in the second film as a hired sword sent to finish off the ogre, and switches sides faster than he can sheathe his rapier. Antonio Banderas's voice, the Spanish accent and a great deal of theatrical dignity packed into a cat's body built a character who outgrew the series he came from and went on to headline features of his own.
If there is a hunt on at home for one specific figure from this set, there is a fair chance this is it. Even someone who has never watched a Shrek film recognises the cat. In the shop it makes no difference, since the boxes are sealed either way, but once swaps start between friends this number tends to be the strongest bargaining chip.
On a shelf the small hatted silhouette sits well beside the bulkier minifigures, and the others generally end up arranged around him. Interest in icons like this also lasts longer than it does for the rest of a series.
