What use is a musician in a dungeon? Quite a lot, as it turns out: bards talk their way out of more trouble than they ever fight their way out of, and an elf has had a few centuries to practise.

About this minifigure
Bardic magic runs on music and storytelling. Bards inspire their companions, charm their enemies and regularly rescue a session with an idea nobody else would have had. At the table they are usually the most entertaining character present and, as it happens, a surprisingly effective one, mixing support, spells and social skills.
Elves have been in the game since the very beginning, associated with long life, fluency in magic and a slightly lofty distance from the shorter-lived races. An elf bard, then, has seen a great deal and will gladly sing about it.
This one often becomes a quiet favourite, because the courtly styling makes it easy to place outside fantasy too, in a medieval or a musical scene. He reaches for a fight less readily than any other hero in 71047, and a completed party without him looks far too solemn.
