Who solves the problem before the party has finished agreeing on a plan? The dwarf barbarian does, and he ranks among the most recognisable archetypes in all of D&D.

About this minifigure
Dwarves in Dungeons & Dragons have always stood for stubbornness. They hammer away in underground forges, stay loyal to their clans and remember an enemy for a very long time. The barbarian class piles on battle rage and a high tolerance for punishment, producing a hero who is first into a fight and last out of it, and at the table he usually ends up as the party's living shield.
None of that requires knowing the rules. He is a bearded fantasy warrior who slots straight into any game involving a castle, a cave and a dragon, and he works exactly the way the knights from classic LEGO themes always have.
Set him beside the bard, the druid and the paladin and you have the core of a playable party standing on the shelf. No hero in 71047 sticks closer to the textbook archetype, which is probably why people tend to track this one down first.
Did you know: The barbarian was not there from the start โ it only arrived as a class in its own right during the 1980s, in supplements for the first edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
