Orion
It is the night sky rather than a spacecraft that supplies this figure — Orion the mythical hunter, moulded in glittery transparent purple and armed with a shield and a club.

About this minifigure
The idea is bold for a collectible wave: instead of another name from the ship's roster, a constellation steps down out of the sky. The flecks glinting inside the plastic look like stars scattered under the skin, and the shield carries the same star pattern that gave the hunter his name.
For children he is an excellent excuse to talk about the night sky: Orion is among the easiest constellations to find, so an evening spent with the figure in hand makes it easier to pick out through the window afterwards. He also works perfectly well as a plain space warrior.
Collectors hunt him mainly for the material. Glittery transparent parts turn up rarely in minifigures and produce an effect no printing can fake. In a display case he needs nothing but a beam of light, so put him near a lamp or a window.
Did you know: This is the first minifigure in which glittery transparent purple was used for the head and limbs rather than only an accessory.
