Blacktron Mutant
Blacktron colours were issued to the villains of LEGO space from 1987 onwards, and the white-and-black version turns up here on an experiment that went badly wrong: an extra arm, a claw where a foot should be, two blasters.

About this minifigure
Explorers and surveyors filled the early space themes, and Blacktron gave them somebody to be afraid of, the first faction nobody could mistake for the good side. This figure keeps the uniform and adds a story about an experiment that ended differently from the plan, and the result stays pleasantly comic-book without straying into horror.
In play he serves as a ready-made villain. A parent looking for "the bad one" to stand opposite the astronauts has found the right box: no backstory needs supplying, and two blasters in two hands settle the rest.
Collectors rate him highly, because he combines nostalgia with a real idea — not a plain reissue of an old outfit but a subverted version of it. Together with the M-Tron Powerlifter and the Ice Planet Explorer, he forms the retro backbone of the collection.
Did you know: The extra arm on one side lets the figure hold two blasters at once, and its white-and-black uniform is in the colours of Blacktron II from 1991.
