Astronomer Kid
Long past bedtime, a brick-built telescope stands pointed at the sky, and the child behind it is in no hurry to go in.

About this minifigure
Child minifigures turn up in the collectible series less often than you might think, and it is rarer still for one to be given a passion rather than simply an outfit. The Astronomer Kid is exactly that: not a costume and not a job, but a character caught in the middle of a hobby.
Parents usually like this figure more than their children do, and that is meant as a compliment. It makes a lovely small present for anyone who has just discovered the planets, has a star chart on the bedroom wall, or has spent the past week asking about black holes.
It also drops naturally into any home or city build, and it pairs beautifully with the space characters from other series โ the one looking up, and the ones already out there. Builders see it differently again: child legs and fresh prints are parts that end up in dozens of scenes later on.
Did you know: Galileo turned his telescope on the sky in 1609 and within months had found mountains on the Moon and Jupiter's four largest moons โ with an instrument about as capable as a modern pair of binoculars.
