Vampire Knight
It takes about ten seconds after unboxing for the Vampire Knight to be handed a role, usually the one where he rules the castle and the knights already on the shelf are in trouble. Two LEGO favourites, the medieval knight and the vampire, sit inside a single figure here, and the result stays closer to fairy tale than to horror.

About this minifigure
The Vampire Knight belongs to the fantasy block of Series 25, along with the Harpy, the Fierce Barbarian and the Mushroom Sprite. Dark castles, cursed keeps and the undead have been LEGO territory for years, and this figure walks into that territory fully equipped.
Fans of classic Castle and of LEGO's darker lines have it easy, because the character fits both drawers without any stretching. In a diorama it casts itself as the chief antagonist, and in a display cabinet it pulls the eye faster than the brighter figures beside it. Collectors like characters of this sort because one figure can set the mood of an entire collection.
The scariness is nominal, roughly Halloween-decoration level. Children who like dragons and skeletons usually point at this one first. If there is a monster phase going on at home, it is hard to do better from this set.
